Looking for Metal Sensing Solutions? Prime Controls Has You Covered!

Prime Controls, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high quality metal sensors and controls for a multitude of industries. Whether you're in the can making, automotive, or metal forming industry, they have a metal sensing solution for you. Prime Controls, Inc. specializes in Double Metal Sheet Detection and is a supplier for Double End and Missing Tab Detectors. In addition to the products featured in the above video, highlighted below are a few more of the many options available from Prime Controls.

The DS150 is the basic detector for steel, tinplate, stainless steel, copper, brass, and other metals. It is easily able to detect a variety of metals due to its ability to automatically recognize and change its sensing signal based on the material type it's testing. Setup is easy as placing a single sheet between the probes and pressing the calibrate button so that the DS150 learns what a single sheet is.

The SC200 control features a single probe detection for small ferrous parts. The system will respond to either a small position or density change of a ferrous object. The corresponding FS12T18S probe uses a weak but concentrated magnetic field for detection, making it possible to detect small items with little to no magnetic pull. Due to its narrow field of view, the probe eliminates false detection from ferrous objects off to the side of the sensing face.

The DS1522 is considered the ultimate dual probe detection unit for all types of metal. It offers multi-gauge detection with the ability to store and recall 64 different stored calibrations. The DS1522 can alert the user to the detection of a double sheet (over thickness) condition and also the detection of less than a single sheet (under thickness). The DS1522 features remote calibration, automatic calibration trigger and calibration delay, and adjustable relay delays.

C&E Now Carries Heavy-Duty Safety Doors For Automated Processes From Assa Abloy

The Albany Rapid Protect 300, from Assa Abloy, is a heavy-duty machine protection door. It's a tough and reliable safety door for automated processes and production lines. The door features a tear-resistant curtain, making it able to withstand wind load and direct pressure and allowing installation close to the machine. Rapid opening and closing speeds help increase worker safety, work flow, and overall productivity.

Assa Abloy will be joining C&E sales at the upcoming Industrial Automation Expos. They would welcome the opportunity to address applications, questions, and interests. These expos will be held in West Chester, OH on May 24th and Evansville, IN on May 26th. Visit www.cesales.com/expos for more information and registration.

Albany RP300:
  • Rapid opening and closing ensures short cycle times
  • High reliability even after years of high numbers of cycles
  • Versions conforming to various factory standards are possible
  • Type tested machine protection door with fabric door blade

Door Design
The side frames and the top roll cover are made of aluminum profiles. The front cover can easily be removed and allows easy access for inspection and maintenance. The motor cover is made of a steel plate painted in aluminum color.

Windows
For process monitoring when the door is closed, various window variants are optionally available. On PVC curtains with colored reinforcement strips, there are large viewing areas. For all other variants of curtains, optional horizontal or vertical windows are integrated in the door curtain.

Door Curtain
Depending on the application, various door curtains and colors are available: from partially transparent PVC curtains with colored reinforcement stripes with a high degree of transparency to highly rigid RollTex and NomaTex.

Safety Features
The bottom profile is monitored by an electrical safety contact edge. A door line photocell also prevents the door from closing when objects are interfering.
