Now Available From Siemens: NEMA 1 and UL Type 1 Wall Mounting Kits For The G-Series Drive Platform

Wall-mounting kits for Sinamics G120C and G120 PM240-2 modular drives are now available from
Siemens. These kits are low-cost and allow for easy and fast installation of the drives. They conform to NEMA 1 and UL Type 1 standards for interior applications.

Key Features:

  • Available in power ranges from 1/2 to 200 hp and voltages from 230V to 690V 
  • The kits offer a streamlined, compact design for use with all drive frame sizes of the corresponding Siemens drive units
  • Provides best-in-class space savings and direct access to the drive-mounted operator panel for simple commissioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. 

The new kits accommodate all G120C, PM240-2 and PM240P-2 power modules, control units and operator panels in the Sinamics drive family. Standardized designs permit efficient side-by-side mounting with minimal clearance, while multiple conduit knockout holes allow separate power, motor, I/O, and network cabling. Seven kits are currently available to fit all drive units from AA to F frame sizes.

Who Let The Dogs Out? Siemens Sirius ACT ID Key-Operated Switch Will Tell You!

If you're frustrated by compromised passwords on HMI screens, Siemens provides a key ring-friendly RFID access stick/receptacle solution. Siemens ID key-operated switches connected to an IO link master can individually ID and monitor each key. ID key-operated switches are used in place of conventional key-operated switches, where the enabling of certain functions is required.

The Sirius ACT key-operated switch is an electronic switch based on RFID technology, helping you increase security in your application by identifying and authorizing single users and user groups.

A Pivotal Piece: Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP Failsafe CPU

The CPU 151xSP F fail-safe controllers are extended standard ET 200SP CPUs certified for functional safety and are suitable for use in safety-related applications up to SIL 3. The fail-safe SIMATIC controller conveniently enables the processing of standard and safety programs on a single controller.

Siemens CPU 151xSP F fail-safe controllers can be used as PROFINET I/O controller or as distributed intelligence (PROFINET I-device). The CPUs 151xSP F can be expanded centrally with standard and fail-safe ET 200SP modules, and distributed via PROFINET/PROFIsafe with any ET 200 systems.The expandable PROFINET I/O IRT interface is designed as a 2-port switch so that a line structure can be configured in the plant.
