Tolomatic's All-in-One Servo, The ACSI

What is the ACSI?

The ACSI is a cost-effective solution for automating additional axes of motion with simple control options via digital I/O or industrial EtherNet/IP. It's an easy-to-use servo motor/drive/controller developed specifically to be used with electric actuators.

The ACSI with an integrated servo motor creates a space-saving machine design by eliminating a drive in a cabinet. The ACSI can be controlled with simple digital I/O or robust Ethernet: EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP. Optimized for linear or rotary operation. With built-in configurations for all of Tolomatic's electric actuators, the ACSI creates linear motion quickly and easily in the desired linear units.

The ACSI Integrated Servo Motor/Drive/Controller Offers These Features:
  • Nema-23 and Nema-34 frame sizes
  • IP65 rating
  • M12 connectors
  • 10Vdc to 60Vdc input supply
  • Dual Ethernet ports supports star, daisy-chain, and ring topologies
  • ODVA conformant and Plugfest certified EtherNet/IP

Who Let The Dogs Out? Siemens Sirius ACT ID Key-Operated Switch Will Tell You!

If you're frustrated by compromised passwords on HMI screens, Siemens provides a key ring-friendly RFID access stick/receptacle solution. Siemens ID key-operated switches connected to an IO link master can individually ID and monitor each key. ID key-operated switches are used in place of conventional key-operated switches, where the enabling of certain functions is required.

The Sirius ACT key-operated switch is an electronic switch based on RFID technology, helping you increase security in your application by identifying and authorizing single users and user groups.

In the video below, join one of C&E's Automation Specialists, Larry Ponziani, as he introduces the new product in the Sirius ACT group of control products from Siemens.

Powerful Software Upgrades for Banner VE Series Smart Cameras

Banner has released upgrades to their Vision Manager software for the VE series smart camera, making the PC programming software even more powerful. Individual tool results, such as X and Y coordinates, can now be exported over EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus/TCP with the new Industrial Protocol Flexible Map feature. Use the Logic tool to combine tool results using Boolean logic or to drive discrete outputs from tool results. The latest version of Banner's Vision Manager software is free and available now.

Vision Manager Software Upgrade:

  • Support for the new, lower resolution WVGA and 1.3MP cameras, in addition to the 2MP camera
  • Create custom Industrial Ethernet maps to export individual tool results
  • Combine tool results or drive discrete IO using the Logic Tool
  • Backup, restore, and reset to default settings through the emulator
  • Choose to display only the image and annotations while in full screen image mode
  • Image export sample application and source code now available
Banner Engineering's free and easy-to-use Vision Manager Software provides a number of tools and capabilities that enable VE Series Smart Cameras to solve a wide range of vision applications, such as item detection, part positioning, feature measurement, and flaw analysis.

Banner's VE Series Smart Camera is Now Available in Two New Resolutions!

Banner Engineering's easy-to-use VE Series Smart Camera is now available in two new resolutions. The 1.3MP and WVGA resolutions have speed and price advantages compared to the 2MP model, but offer the same powerful inspection capabilities. With multiple resolutions now available, users can select the smart camera most suitable for their application.

Three Hardware Resolutions:
  • 1.3MP - Recommended model for initial testing of an application
  • WVGA - Operates at higher speeds than the 1.3MP and 2MP models and is well suited for applications where cost is a key consideration. This model is available for under $2000!
  • 2MP - Capable of detecting smaller objects than the 1.3MP and WVGA cameras and has a larger field of view than these models
