Expanding Application Possibilities For E-Stop Buttons

Providing additional protection against environmental hazards for their 30mm Emergency Stop Buttons, Banner Engineering has introduced their new Washdown Cover. The Washdown Cover provides extra protection without compromising device actuation or visibility. By raising the product rating up to IP69k, it expands the number of applications for which their E-Stop Buttons can be used. It's available in pre-installed kits or as a standalone product.

Banner Engineering's 30mm-mount Illuminated Emergency Stop button is an electro-mechanical emergency stop push button. It meets worldwide safety standards. They are easy to install and hookup with no assembly, individual wiring, or additional enclosures required.

Banner's 30mm mount E-stop buttons have an illuminated base that turns from yellow to flashing red when actuated. To reduce down time, the red flashing illumination of the E-stop button visibly alerts operators which button was pressed so they can quickly and easily fix the problem and only reset the button that was activated.

Teledyne Dalsa Offers Their First Product in The "Vision Sensor" Space

The new BOA Spot is the first Teledyne Dalsa product offering in the "Vision Sensor" space, a segment of the market looking for easy-to-use, basic inspection capabilities at a low cost of ownership. Vision Sensors solve error proofing challenges that are beyond the capabilities of standard photoelectric sensors. They simplify system design and improve overall system robustness by replacing multiple photoelectric sensors and inspecting multiple part features at the same time. Vision sensors offer much more flexibility than traditional sensors for performing quality checks and eliminate the need for expensive fixturing by automatically compensating for part position variation. The new BOA Spot offers the power and flexibility of BOA vision with the ease-of-use and affordability of a Vision Sensor.

Other BOA Spot Features:

  • Integrated light, lens, and processing
  • Standard and high resolution sensor options
  • M12 (standard) or C-mount lens options
  • Easy-to-use GUI
  • Embedded vision tools for matching, counting, feature finding, and measuring applications
  • Built-in factory communication protocols
  • FTP image transfers
  • Multiple program storage
  • Remote monitoring
  • Compact industrial enclosure
