WireCrafters Woven Wire Mesh Partitions - Secure Storage

Woven wire mesh has become the staple across most industries for indoor fencing, machine guarding, tool cribs, and for securing inventory with pallet rack enclosures. It's low in cost, customizable, easily configurable, and virtually limitless in size.

WireCrafters can provide the right woven mesh product to meet your needs large or small. They have the capability to weave a variety of mesh sizes with their state-of-the-art equipment. The most popular size is a rectangular 2" x 1" mesh, using a 10 GA wire. WireCrafters also weaves a tighter 1/2" square mesh with a 12 GA wire and a larger 2" square opening with a heavier 6 GA wire.

The standard 2" x 1" mesh works well for basic wire partition requirements like tool cribs, inventory control cages, and secured storage cages, similar to what you would find in warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. The smaller, tighter meshes, like the 1/2" square and the 3/4" square, have been used to secure data centers. The larger 2" square mesh with the heavier 6 GA wire is required when the partition needs to be heavy-duty. WireCrafters also manufacturers an 11 GA stainless steel wire mesh suitable for corrosive environments.

Visual Inspection Made Easier Based on The Eye's Response to Color

An interesting facet of the human eye's function is that we are most sensitive to green light. Studies show that the color Green is easiest to see because it's in the middle of the visible light spectrum. Using this knowledge, Banner has taken visual inspection to the next level and offers a multitude of green light application solutions.

Why Does Green Light Work?
  • Contrast from ambient light
  • Reaction to materials and oils
  • Operator stimulus
  • Angle of reflectance
  • Human Eye Response
    • Most sensitive to green
    • Green appears the brightest
    • True in dark and bright ambient conditions
  • Stamping
    • Surface inspection
      • Class A surfaces
      • Steel
      • Carbon fiber

  • Metals
    • Weld inspection
    • Crack inspection

  • Glass
    • Surface and edge inspection
      • Windshields
      • Windows

  • Plastic
    • Short shot detection
      • Extrusion
      • Molded parts

Dress Packs For Robotic Applications From Murrplastik

Murrplastik is able to provide fully populated dress pack solutions for any robotic application. Universal applicable fastening elements for all standard robots can be combined into individual designs that provide a rugged hardness for the hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components contained within the dress pack. Murrplastik will assemble and ship the dress packs, including their cables, connectors, and other content as one unit.

Their specially developed cable protection conduits for complex robot applications can stand up to extreme stress and movement. Specially modified materials and special conduit geometry ensure optimal protection and long lives.

R-Tec Box

The R-Tec Box is an axis 3 to 6 energy package for industrial robots. It is specially designed to house the unique integrated spring return system which keeps the conduit tight to the robot so that it is not caught or in the way during operation. The spring package allows for the robot to make a wide range of movements while still keeping the cables and hoses organized, protected, and out of harm's way.

We can work with you to design a dress pack specific to your robot's application and environment. For more information, please contact your salesperson or call 800-228-2790. Thank you!

Turck Announces Open Faced Angle Sensors for Valve Position Monitoring in Harsh Environments

Turck announced two extensions of their inductive angle sensors for rotary actuators. Both new product offerings provide a rotary valve sensing solution ideally suited for harsh environments; one includes a stainless steel Minifast connector and the other, using a terminal chamber, provides ATEX and IECEx approvals.

The RI360-DSU utilizes the inductive resonant circuit measuring principle and introduces an innovative open face sensor design for rotary valve sensing. The RI360-DSU open faced inductive angle sensors deliver analog or discrete outputs and provide flexible mounting options previously not available from Turck.

Turck’s RI360-DSU inductive angle sensors are able to monitor quarter turn valves and three-way valves, while also detecting the valve position during cleaning cycles. Additionally, the sensors are capable of detecting the wear of seals, thus saving downtime from seals that are worn from switching cycles. For flexible operation, the sensors are available with switching or analog outputs.

The RI360P1-DSU35TC-ELI-EXI is available with ATEX and IECEx approvals. The RI360P1-DSU35-ELIU5X2-B1150/S1265 is available with a stainless steel Minifast connector.

Product Benefits:

  • Contactless measuring principle
  • Rugged housing
  • Programmable measuring range
  • Compact design
  • Flexible mounting/options compatible with DSU mounting accessories
  • Freely adjustable within 360°
  • IP67 rated

Automate Your Internal Transport With The MiR100 - Mobile Industrial Robot

MiR100 - An Efficient Mobile Robot for Transportation

The MiR100, from Mobile Industrial Robots, is a user-friendly and efficient mobile robot for automation of in-house transport and logistics solutions. In addition to efficiency and ease-of-use, the robot optimizes workflows by freeing staff resources and allowing you to increase productivity. Technology enables the robot to either "identify" its drive area and surroundings or import 3D drawings of the building layout. The MiR100 contains built-in sensors and cameras, allowing it to be used for collaborative operation. The robot can run safely in an environment with people as it automatically stops and routes around obstacles.

Extra Benefits:
  • Ready from Day 1
  • Simple operation via smartphone, tablet, or PC
  • Can be equipped with a variety of customized modules
  • Has a carrying capacity of 100 kg and can tow approximately 300 kg
  • Navigation through its own map
  • Avoids dynamic obstacles and alters routes quickly if necessary
  • Maneuvers safely around obstacles by using scanners, a 3D camera, and ultrasound
  • Equipped with boggie suspension, a chassis serving as a modular subassembly of wheels and axles
For questions, or more information, please contact C&E sales at 800-228-2790. C&E also has a MiR100 and would be glad to demo it for you! Thank you!
