Sensor Technology Just Keeps Getting Better

On May 30th, Banner announced the release of a new product: The Sure Cross® U-GAGE® K50U Series Wireless Ultrasonic Sensors. These small sensors were designed to measure standard range
(300 – 3000 mm sensing range) or short-range (100 – 1000 mm sensing range) between the sensor and the target.

Banner created this line of products for plug-and-play use, which makes the essential integration with a Banner Wireless Node or MultihopModbus Radio quick and easy. The company designed the K50U Series Wireless Ultrasonic Sensors with the following industries in mind:

The sensors create an efficient, cost-effective, and easy-to-use wireless solution for monitoring mobile or remote tanks and totes. Businesses that have implemented the sensors in their machinery saw an increase in productivity, while employee safety issues and equipment downtime decreased.

We are extremely excited about this new product and we cannot wait to share all its benefits with our customers!

Avoid Costly Downtimes And Eliminate Challenges With Smart Sensor Technology

What is a Smart Sensor?

Smart sensors provide the ability to setup a sensor locally using the built-in buttons and menu display. Long after a sensor has been in place, when the sensor is damaged or has failed, the replacement sensor must be setup for the application. It can take some time to locate the correct sensor data sheet, so if someone is unfamiliar with the push button sequence and menu display, it can delay setup, thus resulting in extended machine downtime and profit loss. Smart sensors help eliminate such challenges.

Banner offers an extensive line of smart sensors to help solve applications. Watch their video highlighting their offerings and how they could handle your challenging requirements, help you avoid downtimes, and how they can even let you know when maintenance is required.
